Assignment 1

Earphones

I bought a pair of Philips earphones from HMV that looked completely normal, in good condition and looked nice. But then they appeared to not be working when I tried music. Only the right earphone was working and the left one wasn't  This then made it quiet and the quality of listening through one earphone was very poor.

There was nothing that I had done to make this happen, saying that, I had only bought these the day before which happened the following day. I had got the earphones out of its case the day after to test them and that’s what had happened, so there was no reason for me to be the blame for this.
I have never bought anything else that has anything to do with Philips, so I blame the company for these earphones.
I would never buy anything else from Philips again as I would not want to risk buying an item of theirs that doesn't work. It just show the lack of effort put into checking whether the earphones work and replacing it with new earphones. If I had bought more products which had been made by Philips, I may have changed my mind as it could have been a one off item that wasn't working and I would have loyalty/trust in them anyway.

Furthermore, I am disappointed with buying these which were £25; it was like the right earphone was dunked into water and then put in the market ready to be sold, as if it would still work thoroughly well. I tried everything to make the earphone work but it just wouldn't happen. This is something I wouldn't want to buy another item from Philips because it may happen again.

However, I did manage to get another from Philips because I had kept the receipt so I got a new one of the same earphones but this one was very quiet. The quality of it was poor and even on max volume it wasn't that clear. I don’t know whether this is coincidence, but this in my opinion, is terrible and I would gladly not want to buy another Philips Earphones again.
